Worship Leader: Matt Griffith Speaker: Dave Royes (Senior Pastor) Title: If That Should Be God’s Will Scripture: 1 Peter 3:17-4:1 Outline: “A wonderful text is this, and a more obscure passage perhaps than any other in the Testament, so that I do not know for a certainty just what Peter means. . . . I cannot understand and I cannot explain it. And there has been no one who has explained it” ~ Martin Luther 1. A Better Way to Suffer 2. A Living Proof in Jesus 3. A Mature Way to Think For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did...

1/24/2026 Worship Service & Sermon from Brick Lane Community Church in Elverson, PA. Due to Snow on 1/25/26, we held worship on Saturday evening. Worship Leader: Dave Stoltzfus Speaker: Joe Whalen Title: Two Very Important Truths Text: Colossians 1:1-8 Passage 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brothers[a] in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father. Thanksgiving and Prayer 3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, 5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, 7 just as you learned it from ...

Worship Leader: Dave Dailey Speaker: Dave Royes Title: On The Contrary, Bless Scripture: 1 Peter 3:8-16 Outline: 1. A Call to Tenderheartedness 2. A Reminder of God’s Attentiveness 3. The Result is Gospel Preparedness 8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. 9 Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. 10 For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; 11 let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 13 Now who...

Worship Leader: Matt Carter Speaker: Dave Royes Title: Beautiful Conduct and The Glory of God (Part 3) Scripture: 1 Peter 3:1-7 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. Do not let your adorning be external--the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear--but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is...
