Vine & Branches 1 Samuel Considered by many to be a literary classic, the book of 1 Samuel is packed with real historical accounts of people in need of a godly king. 1 Samuel tells of the rise and fall of royal families and thrones, heroic love, child-like faith and tragic betrayal. As we study the history of God’s chosen people, the Lord may pull back the curtain to help us see our own weaknesses and failures. Beyond those failings, however, we’ll also recognize the power of God as he invades such brokenness to bring His Son into the world to save sinners.
